However, as the revisions could appear very strange to some faithful
believers and even to some teachers and preachers in the assemblies of Yahweh, I
think that it is necessary to explain some details beforehand, just to prevent
possible misunderstanding regarding them. Thus,
when questions and doubts arise, these advance answers can lead readers (true
seekers of the truth), to meditate on the changes made in this version, and
encourage their minds to seek and prove for them-selves the truth, and find the
many distortions and substitutions made by the former translators of the Sacred
Writings.
I am sure that some readers will not agree easily, because it will be
difficult to accept the restitutions, and will prefer to continue with the old
teachings; but there will be many sincere believers, whom will prove and
understand the mistakes concerning the substituted names and titles in the
translations made in the past, and the importance of restoring them to their
original form. In the present
versions of the “Bible”, the different foreign translators corrupted all the
personal names and titles. So let us
consider here just one adulterated title, which require to be restoring and take
away the substitution and call the Sacred Book with more respect and veneration,
if we really think that it contains YHWH’s words.
Here is one of the erroneous title that we must discard from the Sacred
Book, and restore the true title as was given from Heaven:
HOLY
SCRIPTURES OR “BIBLE”?
First
of all, the title “Bible” is not found anywhere in the entire book from
Genesis to Revelation, in reference to the Sacred Book.
During Yahshua’s time in Yeruwshalem, the Old Covenant (or Testament)
was classified (called) in to three categories: The Torah (the Law), The
Prophets, and The Psalms, i.e. the Scripture of truth (Dan. 10:21, Eph. 1:13),
but never was called “Bible.”
Reading the New Covenant (where there are actual references to the Sacred
Writings), can prove this assertion. When
Yahshua came to restore the sound doctrine and to deliver the New Covenant, He
referred to the Old Testament (Tanack) to support His teachings, but He never
called the sacred writings by any other title, but the Scriptures.
Here are some examples of how He referred to the Sacred Writings: In the
book of Mattithyah (Matthew) chapter 21:42, He said: “…Did you never read in
the Scriptures, the stone which the
builders…?”
In chapter 22:29, He said, “…You do err, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of the Almighty…”
In the book of Loukas (Luke) 24:25-27, He said, “…O fools, and slow
of heart to believe all that the Prophets
have spoken…And beginning at Mosheh (Moses) and all the prophets, He expounded
unto them in all the Scriptures the
things concerning Himself…”
In the Book of Yahkhanan (John), chapter 7:38, Yahshua said, “…He
that believeth on Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living
waters.”
In
Yahkhanan (John) chapter 5:39, Yahshua said, “Search the Scriptures, for in them ye think ye have eternal life”
As we read, Yahshua
did not call the Sacred writings the “Bible”, nor did he refer to them by
any other title: Not “
After Yahshua returned to heaven, His apostles continued the teachings
about the promises regarding the New Covenant. For that purpose, they had to
refer to the Old Testament in order to prove and support their teachings, but
they never used any title other than the Scriptures, as we presently can
read through the New Covenant (or Testament):
In the Book of Acts chapter 18:24 it says, “…Apollos, born at
The apostle Shaul (Paul) speaking of the Heavenly Father, he wrote in
Romans 1:2, “…Which He had promised afore by His prophets in the Holy
Scripture…”
And in chapter 16:26, he wrote, “…But now is made manifest, and by the
Scriptures of the prophets…”
In first Korinthians chapter 15:3-4, he said: “… how that the
Meshayah (Messias) died for our sins according to the
Scriptures; and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day
according to the Scripture…”
In the second epistle to Timothy chapter 3:15, the same apostle wrote,
“…And that from a child thou have known the Holy
Scriptures, which are able to make you wise unto salvation…”
The apostle Keph (Peter) wrote: “Wherefore also it is contained in the Scripture”,
(1 Keph [Peter] 2:6).
And again: “As they do also the other Scriptures, unto their own
destruction”, (2 Keph [Peter] 3:16.)
Finally, in the book of Danieyl 10:21, the prophet was told by the
heavenly messenger (who spoke the heavenly language), “…But I will show you
that which is noted in The Scripture of truth…”
Here the angel referred to the Holy writings as The Scripture of truth. This
definition applies correctly to the entire book, from Genesis to Revelation.
These passages are enough to prove the correct title of “The Scripture
of Truth”; but also, to prove that the titles “Bible” or “
The term “Scripture” or Scriptures is mentioned 52 times in the New
Covenant, and only one time in the Old Testament.
Because of this truth, even the early Christians used to refer to the
Writings in the Latin language as the “Divine Scriptura,”
and this title endured until today in that language.
So how was the title “Bible” (Biblia, in Spanish) introduced into the
translations? This title came from the Greek language; however, the writings are
Hebrew, so it is not possible to give a good reason for this substitution of
title. Can we suppose that this
title “Bible” is a hidden influence to continue to remember and honor the
ancient Phoenician city called “
I probably would not be able to prove the whole answer, but here is
something with which anybody can easily prove by reading the following:
“…In 1448, Johann G. Gutenberg, a German inventor finished his
invention, the printing with moveable types system, in which the Latin
translation of the Sacred Scripture (Vulgate) was the first book to be printed.
By that time, this book was known as the “Gutenberg Bible”…he began
the work about 1450 and finished about 1455 ... it is the first book known to
have been printed with the movable types…” (Copied from the Encyclopedia
Americana vol. 13, pag. 579, edic. 1961.)
In a logical sense and due to human reasoning, for the late inventor the
title was perfect, because in his work he compiled many "Books"
(Greek,
But here we have another story about the origin of the title “Bible.”
As we know today, the root came from the Greek “
SHOULD
WE DESCARD THE PAGAN TITLE,
AND
RESTORE “THE SACRED SCRIPTURE”?
To
answer this question we must know more about the origin of the name “Bible”,
so first let us consider the possible relation of this title with a pagan deity;
nowadays readers of the Sacred Book believe that Baal and “EL” were
Phoenician idols, so let us find out who were those so-called Phoenician.
According to the secular history, we read the following: “
So here we find again the descendants of the followers of Nimrod. So now,
let us review a little about the religion of those Canaanites (Phoenician, the
initiaters of the rebellious against Yahweh). The same source says: “There
were a multitude of local gods, the head among whom were associated with the
forces and processes of nature. Each city would call the head of its pantheon
“Baal” (owner, master) and his consort “Baalat” (mistress). The worship
of the male went with that of the female. The Baal of Tire, Melkarth (king of
the city), achieved wide popularity as his city rose to prominence. The head of
the
This information alone should be enough to prove the pagan origin of the
title “Bible” (Biblos)
The
above is a brief study of the origin of the title “Bible,” which came from
the root of an idolatrous Phoenician city called “
May the Father YHWH, through the spirit of our
Savior Yahshua lead the faithful believers, to study and
prove all things by themselves; only that way we can restore all the mistakes
and substitutions which was made in the past, and accomplish the command of Acts
3:20-21, Yahweh bless, HalleluYah.
