MISSION KENYA

S.A.Y. is asking for your support in helping us sponsor a missionary and humanitarian trip to Kenya. Kenya is a beautiful country located in the African continent. It is located on the east-central side of Africa and it borders the Indian Ocean. Kenya was inhabited during historic times by various Cushitic, Nilotic, and Bantu peoples including the Kikuyu and the Masai. The coast was settled by Arab traders in the 8th century a.d. and later (16th-18th century) by the Portuguese. Kenya became a British protectorate in 1890 and crown colony in 1920. It achieved independence in 1963. Nairobi is the capital and the largest city. Population: 31,600,000.

For the most part Kenya can be considered a nominal Christian nation, however there is currently a thirst and a hunger for both spiritual matters and Scriptural truth. We feel that missions to Kenya are vastly important. The Sacred Names, Feast days and Sabbath are currently being taught by many of the brethren there and those who are doing the work need our support.

With your generous support we will also be able to travel to Kenya to support the work that is already in progress. Our representatives are hoping to take a missionary trip to Kenya in December of 2010. We are looking for your help in raising at least $5000.00 dollars. We feel that this will help offset the price of the tickets. In addition to your contributions we have a plethora of fund raisers that we will be conducting throughout the year. The fundraisers include such things as bake sales, car washes, etc.
