THE
MARK OF A FALSE PROPHET
An
Anti-Messiah Among Us

In the past years and all over the world, there have been many
men from many different denominations who have declared themselves to be prophets of our creator. They claim that they have either
spoken to our Creator or that they received a revelation from Him. They often give a time of which they declare to be “The
end of the World” or they prophesy about
a massive calamitous event that will
befall the world.
Most
recently on January 3, 2007, Pat Robertson (click on link below), the popular
host of the “700 Club” eluted to his followers that the “Lord” told him that sometime during the later part of
this year (2007), there would be a “mass
killing” possibly of millions of people by a terrorist event. We will not be surprised if
this does not come to pass as Pat
Robertson has already declared other prophecies that did not occur.
Similarly,
last year, Bill Hawkins, aka Yisrael Hawkins, from the [House of Hawkins] said
the following during one of his Prophetic Word videotaped programs.
“Don’t
forget, write down this date, September the 12th 2000 and 6, Nuclear
war, yes! Prophecy shows that nuclear
war will start September the 12th 2000 and 6. A third part of the
people will be killed over a fourth part of the earth. You will see this if you
live this long, you’re going to see this take place, we’re in the last 31/2
years of prophecy which shows that mankind will almost totally destroy himself
before this thing is over… ” July 23, 2006 (click

Well, September 12th 2006 came and went and nothing happened. This
prophecy, like all of his past prophecies did not come true. And just like in
the past, he added yet another prophecy to extend the failed one.
In fact on October 13, 2006 during an assembly with his congregation in
which they came up with a false video explanation, he expounded to his
deceived followers the following statement.
“When we turned them lose on the
12th day of September it’s not like they are going to immediately
send a bunch of bombs over there
[Iran
]and destroy the world and bring about the end before the set time.”
The so called
“set time” which was originally on September 12th 2006 now became
“the following 13 months.” As
far as we know nothing about a 13 month period had ever been mentioned before
this date. But one thing we know for sure; the “Nuclear War” that he claimed
Yahweh told him would occur did not. Nor did a “third part of the people”
over a “fourth part of the world” die. So what does the bible say about how
we are to handle these men that make prophecies, some of them using the very
name of Yahweh, that do not come true?
Ephesians 5 tells us that they are darkness and that it
is our duty to expose them.
8 For you were once darkness, but
now you are light in Yahweh. Live as children of light 9 (for the fruit of the
light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) 10 and find out what
pleases Yahweh. 11 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness,
but rather expose them. Eph 5:8-11
Yahshua himself predicted and warned us that men like
Hawkins, Robertson and even Herbert W. Armstrong who also made false prophecies,
would come and would cause many to stumble.
22 For false Christs [Messiahs]
and false prophets will appear and perform signs and miracles to deceive the
elect-if that were possible. 23 So be on your guard; I have told you everything
ahead of time. Mark 13:22-23
Furthermore Yahshua declared that these men would talk
about the end times and He commanded that we are not to follow them. He
mentioned that wars would be a part of life and that we need not to worry.
8 He replied: "Watch out that
you are not deceived. For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am he,' and,
'The time is near.' Do not follow them. 9 When you hear of wars and revolutions,
do not be frightened. These things must happen first, but the end will not come
right away." Luke 21:8-9
Yahkhanan (John) describes these men as the various anti-christs
that would pave the way for the Antichrist that is to come:
18 Dear children, this is the
last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many
antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour. 1 John 2:18
Our brother Saul (Paul) tells us that these men are not serving our Savior
but themselves. They put themselves
above our Savior and they declare lies of terror to cause misguided people to
follow them. They put obstacles in their way and they cause people to put all of
their trust in them instead of Yahshua. Like Yahshua Saul also warns us against
following these men and he declares to us that they will use flattery, smooth
talk and lies to serve their own purpose:
17 I urge
you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in
your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them. 18 For such people are not serving our Master
Yahshua, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people. Rom 16:17-18
The Fifth Book (Deut.) of Moshe (Moses) tells us that the Mark of a False
Prophet is that he speaks lies and that he controls people through fear. Some
false prophets will utilize the name of Yahweh and others will speak in the name
of other gods. The end will be the same
for both (death) and we are warned not to follow them.
20 But a prophet who presumes
to speak in my name anything I have not commanded him to say, or a prophet who
speaks in the name of
other gods, must be put to death." 21 You may say to yourselves, "How
can we know when a message has not been spoken by
Yahweh?"
22 If what a prophet proclaims in the name of Yahweh does not take place
or come true, that is a message Yahweh has not spoken.
That
prophet has spoken presumptuously. Do not be afraid of him. Deut 18:17-22
We
are to treat these liars as if they were dead. We are to excommunicate them from
our fellowship and have nothing to do with them. If we don’t, the consequences for following them will be devastating.
Consider the outcome of those that followed Jim Jones; the outcome was the “Jonestown Massacre”. Or David Koresh and the Branch
Davidians. David Koresh prophesied
that when he died he would be resurrected in three
days. That was many years ago; he is still dead!

Remember that Yahweh has declared that the punishment for
those that prophecy falsehood either in his
Name or the name of other gods will be the
same, death!
The Book of YirmeYah (Jeremiah) tells us that these false
prophets and their followers will have a terrible ending. Therefore we should be
careful not to follow them.
15 Therefore, this is what
Yahweh says about the prophets who are prophesying in my name: I did not send
them, yet they are saying, 'No
sword or famine will touch this land.' Those same prophets will perish by sword
and famine. 16 And the people they are prophesying to
will be
thrown out into the streets of Yerusalem because of the famine and sword. There
will be no one to bury them or their wives, their sons
or their
daughters. I will pour out on them the calamity they deserve. Jer 14:15-16
Read carefully the warnings from our brother Kepha (Peter) that confirms
the condemnation upon these false teachers and their followers. We truly are
without excuse!
2 Peter
2:1-3, 12-14, 17-19
2:1 But there were also false
prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They
will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Master
who bought them. Bringing swift destruction on themselves. 2 Many will follow
their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. 3 In their
greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up. Their
condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been
sleeping. 12 But these
men blaspheme in matters they do not understand. They are like brute beasts,
creatures of instinct, born only to be caught and destroyed, and like beasts
they too will perish. 13 They will be paid back with harm for the harm they have
done. Their idea of pleasure is to carouse in broad daylight. They are blots and
blemishes, reveling in their pleasures while they feast with you.
14 With eyes full of adultery, they never stop sinning; they seduce the
unstable; they are experts in greed-an accursed brood! 17 These men are springs without water and mists driven by a storm.
Blackest darkness is reserved for them. 18 For they mouth empty, boastful words
and, by appealing to the lustful desires of sinful human nature, they entice
people who are just escaping from those who live in error. 19 They promise them
freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity-for a man is a slave to
whatever has mastered him.
Brethren we should not give these men a voice! They are
brood liars and deceivers. The very word of Yahweh declares that we should
expose them and that we should warn people not to follow them. We cannot and
must not support their false doctrines. We should separate ourselves from them
and their followers that continue to believe their lies. Yisrael Hawkins and
many of his deceived followers have fulfilled the words spoken above, in that
they have turned our faith into mockery. They have ruined many lives and they
have made it so the world laughs at the Names of Yahweh and Yahshua. They are
guilty of blaspheming the very name that gives Salvation! In their ignorance
they are prepping the way for the Anti-Messiah that will come and destroy many.
So what is the Mark of a False Prophet? Answer: They tell lies and they make up
other lies to cover their failed ones. How many prophecies must fail before we
can declare someone a false prophet? Answer: “One!”
What must we do when we identify a
false prophet? Answer: Do not be afraid of them, do not follow them but rather
expose them. What will befall a false prophet and his followers? Answer:
“Destruction!” What if something
they say eventually happens? Answer: Do not be deceived, if you yell fire long
enough, there will eventually be one. Do we need a prophet or anybody to tell us
about the end of the world? Answer: “No!” In fact if anyone tries to preach
a date by when the world will end, you may consider them false prophets, stay
away from them and expose them. Read what our Savior said regarding who knows
when the end will come.
36 "No one knows about
that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the
Father. Matt 24:36
The statement above cannot be any clearer, yet despite this, many people
continue to believe and follow these false teachers. They do so at their own
peril! All of the men who set ‘end time’ dates are in essence putting
themselves above our Savior because they claim to have information that our
Master did not. If he would have wanted us to know the exact time and date of
the end, he would have told us. Nowhere in Scripture are we told that a man or
prophet would be sent by our Father to reveal to us his set times for the end.
However we are told that we should live our lives as if the end was near. Those
of us that do so do not live by fear nor do we rely on men to reveal to us the
clues clearly given in the Scriptures. The faithful ones keep watch and live
moral, obedient and faithful lives and only seek Yahshua for salvation.

"Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Master will
come. Matt 24:42
44 So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour
when you do not expect him. Matt 24:44
The fact is that we do not need a prophet to tell us about
the end nor do we need anyone to teach us about what is going to happen. The
Scriptures already give us all of the clues that we should be looking for.

Thess 2:3-123 Don't let anyone deceive you in
any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of
lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. 4 He will oppose and
will exalt himself over everything that is called Mighty or is worshiped, so
that he sets himself up in Yahweh’s temple, proclaiming himself to be The
Mighty One. 5 Don't you remember that when I was with you I used to tell you
these things? 6 And now you know what is holding him back, so that he may be
revealed at th
e proper time. 7 For the secret power of lawlessness is already at
work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken
out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Master
Yahshua will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor
of his coming. 9 The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the
work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders,
10 and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish
because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11 For this reason
Yahweh sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie 12 and
so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted
in wickedness.
Brethren wake up!! We should not be seeking a man to tell us about when
the end will come. Read your Bibles. In them you will find the clues necessary
to know what is coming. A rule of thumb is this, if a man or woman declares a
date or “set time” for when the end will come, like Hawkins and many others
have done, declare them as false prophets and do not follow them. Instead expose
them and warn others about them.
10:1 "I tell you the truth, the man who does not enter the sheep pen
by the gate, but climbs in by some other way, is a thief and a robber. 2 The man
who enters by the gate is the shepherd of his sheep. 3 The watchman opens the
gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name
and leads them out. 4 When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of
them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. 5 But they will
never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do
not recognize a stranger's voice." John 10:1-5
If you or anybody you know has been contaminated by these false teachers and
would like to speak to someone about this or if you need counseling from a
brother and/or sister in the faith, contact us immediately! You
will not lose your salvation if you walk away from these liars as they want you to think!
On the contrary you will free yourself from their lies and deception! May our Father of truth and our Savior of
Salvation bless you and open your mind to His truth!
